During the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, BSWi provided the Olympic security committee with consulting services in areas including public safety, technology design and implementation, and bid data analysis.

The solution allowed the National Olympic Committee of Brazil to find the optimal balance between security and operational flow; to monitor, protect, and control crowds; and to obtain real-time alerts.

For a period of 6 months prior to the opening ceremony, our security experts trained a group of 15,000 local security officers.

We also provided state-of-the-art CCTV and analytics technology which alerts users to any suspicious activity in real time.

BSWi implemented and deployed its unique propriety technology to enable real-time crowd control. This provided information on the number of people in the Olympic Park at any given time, their origin, and any abnormal activity (SIM card swaps, phone reactivation, irregular movements, etc.). The technology relies on multiple sensors and powerful, analytical back-office management software.

Once the games were over, BSWi was formally recognized for its substantial and successful contribution to securing the 2016 Olympic Games for the Olympic committee.
