The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations was initially scheduled to be hosted by Morocco, but was subsequently transferred to Equatorial Guinea. BSWi was assigned to the project by the client just a few months prior to the deadline.
For a period of 5 months, BSWi developed and implemented a comprehensive security plan tailored to meet the client’s needs and objectives.
The project included the provision of rigorous training for local security personnel, risk assessment reports, implementation of risk assessment recommendations, and the development of operational procedures in line with client requirements.
During the championship, a security manager from BSWi was deployed to each stadium and facility to oversee the site, ensure its safety, and manage the local security personnel.
A temporary command and control center was set up and used as a central hub for events surveillance, field force interoperability, and incident management.
