BSWi was challenged by a small island nation to generate a solution to its increasing electrical energy requirements. We formulated and implemented an advanced photovoltaic system consisting of a series of solar panels installed across 60 acres and equipped with single-access trackers. The solar farm is located close to both the country’s capital and its power grid.
The solution generates 18-25 GW of energy per annum and is fully integrated with the national power grid. BSWi began construction less than 2 months after the concession agreement was signed. The project was completed within 8 months and included interconnection with the national power grid.
BSWi is contracted to operate the facility, at the end of the contractual period, ownership and management of the project will be transferred to the government at no extra cost.
